Fear is a Liar was one of the songs that Tim played over and over when he was afraid. It became an anthem in our home.
Tim always said that it wasn't dying that he was afraid of because he looked forward to being out of pain and with the Lord. It was the process itself that caused the fear, and the fear of leaving his loved ones that haunted his thoughts. This song helped him manage that fear.
This was another song that Tim only recently gravitated towards. The closer he got to thinking his time was coming to an end, he would just close his eyes and listen to this one. He said he could look back and see Jesus through everything he had been through and that's what got him through one day at a time.
This song was very special to Tim. He played it a thousand times if he played it once. He wanted to be the one to deliver the gospel to any who attended his memorial so this song was especially important to him for that reason. It paints a clear picture of the sacrifices Christ made so that we could be born again.
This song was one that Tim sand quite alot. When he recorded his testimony with "Enough" Ministries, he mentioned what this song means to him. It was heart warning.
This is the precious version that Danny Gokey sang over Tim only a few hours before Tim passed. When I told my sister our story about what this song meant to us, she slipped out of the room and a couple hours later, we got this video message. He was so gracious to do this because he had been singing and led several worship services at my sisters church in Nashville that morning and was almost hoarse. But he was so gracious. We are so grateful to him for this blessing.
This song meant so so much to Tim. He was able to get all of the boys, Gary, his brother, and our boys, Josh, Jeff & Jason to go with him to Deer Camp in November. Tim had a special conversation with the boys around the campfire and then they played this song for the boys. Phil Hardin and his other Deer Camp friends helped him with this presentation to the boys and it meant so much to him. The boys said it was life changing.
This song had special meaning between Tim and his brother Gary. Gary will share about this at the memorial but it was over a conversation they had about Tims outlook about his cancer battle.
While Tim would have been perfectly happy to have the entire Michigan Marching Band present at his service, I found this beautiful rendition to close the service out with. It was important to Tim that we play this at his memorial so I am very glad to have found this lovely rendition.
